叮嚀

一如之前幾個月，下了班像是例行公事地吃飯盥洗後，隨即累癱躺在床上，休息片刻才打開電腦收信，發現姐寄來由 Libera 演唱的歌曲《請別在我墓前落淚》(Do not stand at my grave and weep)，這才想起……今天是爸的忌日。

腦中突然浮現爸生前常掛在嘴邊的話「不要批評別人，你又沒有比別人好」，印象中他老人家雖然脾氣不是很好，但幾乎從沒聽過他數落別人。感覺上……自己心中的「悶氣」似乎瞬間獲得抒解……，因為「毋須多言」，在天上與天主同在的他，仍在「看顧和叮嚀」每天奔忙的我。

「我同你們天天在一起，直到今世的終結。(behold I am with you all days, even to the consummation of the world.)(瑪28:20)

【後記】

• 本詩傳說是由一名主婦Mary Elizabeth Frye所寫的。
• 1995年，英國一名青年在愛爾蘭共和軍襲擊下犧牲，臨死前把一封信交給父母，請他們在他離世後打開，內容就是這一首詩，經過媒體報導後，獲得廣泛的迴響。
• 2001年，美國的911恐怖襲擊事件後，在一個追悼儀式中，一名11歲的少女以此詩表達她對父親的追思，使這首詩再次成為話題。
• 2003年，日本小說家兼歌手，「芥川賞」得主新井滿，把此詩譯為日文版本，並取詩中第三行「I am a thousand winds that blow」的意思，把詩命名為「千の風になって」，再譜上歌曲並演唱。
